BONES (Pilot)

One day, one dead body was discovered from the bed of a pond at a cemetery. The　body has already turned into a skeleton, and its skull was broken to pieces. Furthermore, the body was rewrapped and double-rewrapped by a sheet and a wire net with a weight. All this says that it wasn't an accident, but the person was killed.

Seeley Booth, an FBI agent, took charge of this problem. He asked Temperance Brennan to cooperate with him to solve the problem. She is a superior doctor of forensic medicine. She is energetic in her studies all over the world, and she wrote a book. She is the world’s leading expert on forensic medicine. And she is strong-minded, has a short temper, and is a little wild. So, she accepted his request on condition that he treats her on a footing of equality. And then, they became workmates even though there is lack in their relationship of trust.

Dr. Brennan concluded the sex, age, height, the biotype and hobby of the person in an instant. And her excellent fellows deduced the details of the body and the crime from the body. Booth found that the victim is Cleo Eller by an image of a hologram. She had been lost since last year, and she is a daughter of an officer of the army. Furthermore, it is said that she had an affair with a member of the Upper House, Sen. Bethlehem.
From the studies, many facts were detected. First, Cleo was pregnant. Second, Cleo’s boyfriend is a secretary to Sen. Bethlehem. Finally, Cleo was being stalked. From these facts, they narrowed down the suspects. They are the man having an affair with Cleo, Sen. Bethlehem, Cleo’s boyfriend, Ken Thompson, and a stalker, Oliver Laurier.


I felt that BONES is a delicate drama. This is not common suspense drama. So, I enjoyed watching it so much. Dr. Brennan is very clever. She can know everything of　the body from it. But she is looked like she was a cool and stubborn woman. So, she is distressed about the human heart. She can know everything about dead people without talking with them. But she needs to talk with sympathize with or open up to them to the living to know something about living people. She has trouble in that.

I think that Dr. Brennan and Booth have some secrets in their past. And on the first episode, they couldn’t trust each other. From this, I hope that they will be real partners, and they will develop as persons.

Lilo & Stitch

In space, one form of life was created by a scientist. It was named only 626. It has terrific power. It was made to destroy. But making new form of life is a serious crime. The creator of 626 and experiment 626 were caught. But 626 escaped through its special power. And 626 crashed on earth by chance. But the scientist and a government official arrived on the earth in pursuit of 626.

On the earth, 626 met a girl, Lilo and her sister, Nani. And 626 started to live with them as a pet, a dog. 626 was named Stitch by Lilo. First, Stitch only tried to make good his escape from pursuers and destroy everything he found. But gradually, Stitch started to feel puzzled. There were no objects to destroy. And Stitch found so many things for the first time, for example sensitivity of human beings, sympathizing with others, happiness without destroying and most importantly, a family.

On earth, through the life with Lilo and Nani, Stitch found being with them is much more pleasant than destroying something. And Stitch wants to be part of a family. Since Stitch came to a earth, he learned a lot about his feelings, and he developed very much.

But then, the pursuers caught Lilo by mistake! Stitch tried to help her out of the space ship at the risk of his life!


To watch this movie, I became a fan of Stitch! I really like him! I have a liking for his pureness, heroism and loveableness. I was strongly impressed the way he developed. He doesn't say anything except in the last scene, but I found his puzzlement, lonesomeness and joy. At the last scene, Stitch spoke of his honest feeling for the first time. That scene moved me greatly and made me cry! I really want to watch the sequel of this movie!

Romeo + Juliet

This is the most famous and saddest love story in the world, and this movie has been remade with a modern setting. Romeo is played by Leonard DiCaprio who is the most beautiful and sexiest man in the world, and Juliet is played by Claire Danes who is a very charming lady. They show us the beautiful and sad story.

This story is set in the present day, but almost of the story line is faithful to the original written by Shakespeare, for example, the name of the characters, the environment around them and the sorrowful ending.

This movie expresses the wall of Romeo and Juliet tactfully. First, their famous first meeting at the party was through an aquarium. Second, their secret meeting which is a famous balcony scene in the original also has an obstacle. The water in the pool obstructed their words and even their breath. Both scenes look so beautiful and dreamy like a fairy tale. But there are always high walls behind their pure and passionate love. That point makes us so sad, but we can feel delicate evanescence at the same time from these scenes and the characters themselves. So, I like these scenes though I feel so distressed watching them.

The ending of this movie made me so sad that I was crying. Though I've read the original and watched the movie with another cast before, I felt so sad and like to cry again. The reason is this movie was remade in a modern setting. So, I felt this movie was familiar. But there are many points remind us of the original, for example their romantic words and the passionate love between them. If Romeo and Juliet were acted by other less famous people, their romantic words would still stand out in this movie. They become beautiful and humane when they play the roles of Romeo and Juliet, that is exactly why this movie charms so many people including me!

Brassed Off!

This movie is a story of a brass band, Grimethorpe Colliery Band and its members who are miners at the Grimley mine closing. The members and their families lack financial leeway and they are filled with a sense of despair and a feeling of tragic heroism. In such a situation, one woman named Gloria joined the band. her joining gave them hope. They united and made an effort again.
But then, a truth became clear. Gloria is a member of the company which is forcing the Grimley mine into closing. Gloria tried to keep the Grimley mine open, but the members of the band treat her coldly. She lost her position in the band. And then, in spite of her effort, the Grimley mine closed. Bad luck didn't end here. The leader of the band, Danny, fell sick. And the members are also in a difficult situation. Some of them lost their wife, their children and their home. They decided to break up and not go to the final. They lost everything, but only one member didn’t give up. It is Gloria. Finally, they decided to play on the final to feel her resolution! For our dream, and for Danny!

At the end of this movie, Danny said that music is not everything, but humans are the most important thing. I felt the importance of spirit and mind watching this movie. Of course, our family, jobs, money, or something of each person are very important. We become very sad and confused that we lost them, even only one. But now, I found the power of spirit. They lost their dear family and jobs. But finally, their family came back to them, because they were touched by their spirit for music and the band. Even if we get into a difficult predicament, the road to success will the mind if we never give up.

In this movie, there is hope, dreams, love and a strong spirit. And of course, there are a lot of beautiful and harmonic music. After watching this movie, I felt like walking with my chest thrown out!

Ratatouille

This movie was made by Pixar, and its main characters are a rat, Remy and a cook, Linguini. Remy is a rat, but he can recognize good foods, and he is interested in cooking. On the other hand, Linguini is a son of very famous chef, Gusteau. So, he also wants to be a great chef like his father, but he isn’t good at cooking.

The meeting of them is by chance and fateful. Remy can cook great foods, but he is rat. Of course he has no chance to cook freely. And Linguini has the chance to cook, but he can’t cook like Remy. So, they try to cook in cooperation with each other! And then, Linguini became very famous and popular. But he can't tell the truth to anyone. It irritates Remy gradually. In the bad mood, a harsh critic, Anton Ego came to the restaurant!
This movie has some keywords. They are family, friendship and preconceived ideas. Remy's family says to him that humans are bad for rats. And they also say that don't play like human. A preconceived idea obstructs Remy’s dream, wanting to be a great
chef like Gusteau. I think it is common trouble around us. So, Remy’s situation wrings my heart.
There are so many interesting points in this movie, and the most surprising point for me is computer graphic technology. The action of the characters is great, of course. But I was impressed with the expressions. The expression of not only humans but also rats! So I can empathize with Remy. It is the first time of empathizing with rats!
The last scene is the best! The contrast of quiet and notion is great! I was glued to the screen. I felt the attractiveness of Pixar again when I watched this movie! I don't watch movies like this very much, but now, I'm really interested in the movies made by Pixar!

High School Musical

This movie has two main characters. One of them is Troy. And the other is Gabriella. Troy belongs to the basketball team, and he is the captain. He is very friendly and cool. So, he is the most popular person in the school. He is the hero. And Gabriella is a new student of the school where Troy goes. She is so clever. She is famous with her talent of mathematics and chemistry since she was a little child.
What I said before is an aspect of them everyone knows. But there are different aspects in them. It is singing. They really like singing, but unfortunately, they have no chance to show it anyone. But the last day of year, they met by chance at a party. It is the start of something new.

With the meeting of them as a start, they began to want to sing songs together. But Troy is a super star of the basketball team. And Gabriella is a clever honor student. No one thought that they like singing. But they tried to apply for an audition…

I think that this movie is interesting for almost everyone. Because this movie asks us so many questions which we have troubled everyone at least once. ”What is GOOD for ME?”, “What is ME you say?” Troy and Gabriella also had the same trouble.
It is natural to have trouble about myself and the people around me. The people can see me from outside, and of course I can’t do that. But it is also only one who can see the inside of me. As a matter of course, there are at least two of me. And some of the ideas about me are wrong. It's not the real me. But if the UNREAL me is needed and people had high hopes about that unreal me, what should I do? Pretend to be the unreal person? Do I show the REAL me? Anyway, everyone hopes to live as they are, but it is so hard. So, we have troubles. The troubles and emotional turmoil are in this movie. But it is not the only thing in this movie. There is fun, love and smile!
I added this movie to my favorite movies! This movie makes us happy and smiling, so I hope that the people who don’t know the attractive of this movie will watch it and find the interestingness of “HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL”!
