The beginning of last week, I heard the shocking news. One of my favorite Japanese rock band, 椿屋四重奏 broke up at the end of last year! The sad news was very shocking enough to sweep away my sleepiness.
Last year, they worked energetically so much. They made a song with a tie-in TV drama, and they also made a theme song of a Japanese movie. People got to know about them last year, I think. The news came in us just as we, the fan of them, believed firmly that they will be energetic in their activities still more.
Last winter, I went and saw their live concert tour, Brightest Darkness. It was the dreamy and great time. They showed absolutely no sign of their breakup in their behavior. All of the audience include me really enjoyed at that time.
In the comment, the vocalist and the guitarist, Yuji Nakada said that he supposed that if they had announced their breakup before their live concert tour, the fan of them couldn’t enjoy it. I know his words and thought is right. And I was near tears to feel their tenderness for us.
He said the reason of their breakup in the comment. Viewed objectively, 椿屋四重奏 couldn’t do anything special in the music world. 椿屋四重奏 was the halfway band. So, they broke up, he said. But no one thought like that. They gave so many special and beautiful things to us. And someone could change thanks to them and their music. Of course I did, too.
It is needless to say, I’m so sad now. But they look refreshed. They thought over their firm decision for a long time. And they decided to break up in last summer. So, we must take their decision seriously. And we must cheer them, and pray for their energetic activity. There’s one thing that I want to say them. “Thank you so much heartily.”
